Fr. Brice Berger: Sometimes God uses suffering as a pretext to draw us closer to Him.(Mt. 15:30)

Fr. Ben Mersch: God will not allow us to be tested beyond our strength. (1 Cor. 10:13)

Fr. Jeremy Stubbs: Jesus answers the question of suffering by taking it on personally, thereby redeeming it. (Rom. 5:8)

Fr. Matthew Montag: Through our suffering, we can participate in the redemptive work of Christ. (Col. 1:24)

Fr. Michael Willig: Our “temporary, light afflictions” are as nothing compared to the “eternal weight of glory” that awaits us in heaven. (2 Cor. 4:17)
