to Time to SLA for Jira Cloud. In this guide, we'll walk you through how to use SLA Recalculation effectively.\n\nLet's set the scene. Imagine you've recently implemented a new, stricter SLA for high-priority incidents.\n\nHowever, older high-priority tickets don't reflect this updated standard, which can lead to inaccurate performance reports and misaligned expectations.\n\nThis is where the SLA Recalculation tool steps in. You'll want to use SLA Recalculation in a couple of scenarios.\n\nIf you've just set up a new SLA and need it to apply to past issues, Recalculation will make sure those changes take effect.\n\nSimilarly, if you've updated the configuration of existing SLAs and want those updates to apply to old issues, Recalculation can handle that too.\n\nTo access the Recalculation page, simply click the Recalculation button.\n\nTo start a recalculation, enter JQL to specify which issues you'd like to update.\n\nKeep in mind that each recalculation task can handle up to twenty thousand issues and ten SLA configurations.\n\nIf your task exceeds these limits, try splitting it into smaller batches.\n\nSelect the SLAs you wanna recalculate.\n\nTick Exclude finished SLAs if you wanna leave out completed SLAs.\n\nFor example, if you've changed an SLA's priority target time from six hours to four hours, recalculating an SLA that was met at five hours might now incorrectly show it as exceeded.\n\nExcluding finished SLAs has helped prevent this. Once you set your parameters, click Start to initiate the recalculation process.\n\nYou can monitor the progress of your recalculations in the Recalculation Request table, which shows each task status, start time, and end time, making it easy to keep track and ensure everything runs smoothly.\n\nBy effectively utilizing SLA Recalculation, you can maintain accurate performance metrics, improve decision-making, and ultimately enhance your service delivery.\n\nFor more information, refer to our documentation.
