this video, we'll configure a space for publishing and then look at the three options to publish pages: Single Page Publishing Publishing all pages using Space Publishing, And publishing pages using a Comala workflow. To begin, open the Source space and click Space Settings. Then, under App Links, click Comala Publishing and Configure Publishing. The wizard opens, and you can select a Target space from the drop-down menu.\n\nBy default, only spaces where you are listed as a Space Administrator are displayed. Click Next. Now, you can either publish the source space or review the configuration. In this example, we'll review the configuration.\n\n\"Enable Publishing\" controls whether or not the publishing features are activated. The Target space is listed in the drop-down menu and can be changed - if necessary. The first setting, \"Select user performing publishing action,\" controls whether or not Comala uses the current user's permissions when publishing. With the drop-down set to, \"Comala Publishing for Confluence Cloud,\" the publisher does not need permissions configured in the target space.\n\nInstead, only the app add-on user requires edit permission in the target space. And there is no need for a Confluence user who publishes content to have edit permissions in the target space. This is a useful setting for customers who want to maintain compliance in the Target space. With the \"User responsible for the action\" setting, the user publishing the content must have permissions in both the source and target spaces.\n\nThe next setting, Single page publishing, allows a page editor to publish on a page-by-page basis using the one-page Publish option. With single page publishing, users only need View and Edit rights for the page. For space publishing, users also need Space Administrator rights. \"Copy content properties\" is a unique setting that should be turned on unless you have a third-party app installed in your space.\n\nFor example, if you have Comala Read Confirmations installed in both the source and target spaces, there are most likely unique readers for both. Reviewers in the source space and a wider range of readers in the target space. If you copy content properties from the target to the source space, the readers are also copied, resulting in the target space readers being overwritten. The next setting we'll cover is \"Space publishing.\"\n\nUse this option to publish every unsynced page from the source space to the target space. Often, this feature is used when you first implement Comala Publishing. Afterward, if you don't want to publish every article in the space, you can open an individual page and click the \"New\" Comala breadcrumb. Note that it's always recommended to publish parent pages before child pages.\n\nAfter the page is published, the breadcrumb changes to Synced and you have an option to \"View Published Version.\" Also, if you want to see the status of every page, Click Apps \u003e Comala Publishing. And, you can use the drop-down to view pages with a \"state Not Synced\" or \"Any State.\" To this point, we've assumed that there is NOT a Comala Document Workflow in place.\n\nLet's add one to the Source space, and then look at our publishing options. In this example, the \"final state\" of the Basic Approval Workflow is Approved. Then, let's edit a page, and move it through the workflow. Once it's approved, the page is automatically published.\n\nNext, let's review how the \"Only publish pages if they are in the final state of the workflow\" setting impacts whole-space publishing. With this setting turned ON, only pages that are in the final state of the workflow and are not synced are published, even when you click the Publish Space button. So, if I only have one page in the final state of the Basic Approval Workflow, that's the only one published when I click the Publish Space button.
